1. About Ezy Rental
This document is provided by EZY Rental Equipment Pty Ltd, Ezy Rental Aus Pty Ltd, and EZY Rental AUS Pty Ltd (collectively “Ezy Rental”). We provide commercial equipment rental solutions to contractors and businesses across Australia.
2. Our Service Model: Rent-to-Own
Ezy Rental operates a specialized rent-to-own model for business equipment.
- Procurement: We purchase equipment directly and rent it to contractors under a fixed-term rental agreement.
- Ownership: At the conclusion of the agreed rental term, ownership of the equipment transfers to the client.
- Commercial Purpose: Our services are strictly for commercial and business use and are not intended for personal, domestic, or household purposes.
3. Credit Assessment & Reporting
While we do not provide traditional consumer loans or credit contracts, we perform due diligence to ensure the suitability of our rental agreements.
- Credit Checks: We utilize credit reporting agencies, specifically Equifax, to assess customer eligibility and creditworthiness where required.
- Manual Review: All final approval decisions are manually reviewed by our team to ensure accuracy; we do not rely solely on automated decision-making systems.
- Reporting of Defaults: Ezy Rental may report payment defaults to credit reporting bodies if accounts become significantly overdue and reasonable attempts at resolution have failed.
4. Regulatory Status Disclosure
Ezy Rental provides equipment rental services under a hire-purchase/rent-to-own commercial framework.
- ACL Status: Because we do not provide regulated consumer credit products or personal loans, we do not currently hold an Australian Credit Licence (ACL).
- AFCA Status: As we do not provide regulated financial or credit services, we are not currently members of the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA).
